| Call me selfish, but I don't want xanga to give someone else my user name despite the fact that I haven't posted any new entries in 2 years. Here's a pic of my 2 kitties to make this entry not so boring:
 L-R: Charlie, Doobie

| I got free tickets and VIP passes to Coachella, thanks to my boss and I
gotta say that this past weekend was freakin' AMAZING! It was just the
thing I needed to elevate my mood since I was feeling hella bipolar
last week.
Highlights from the weekend:
- Seeing Lady Sovereign, Wolfmother, Common, Ladytron, Kanye West, Gnarls Barkley, Massive Attack, and Tool for the first time
- Taking all the free makeup samples in the VIP area
- Seeing Daft Punk at their first show in 8 years
- Kanye West doing a ghetto-ized Carlton dance to A-ha's "Take On Me"
- Playing Mad Libs during the car ride to and from Socal
- The kick ass country club house my friends and I rented
- Spending the weekend with my friends
Shitty aspects of the weekend:
- Feeling sweaty and grimey, thanks to the hot sun
- Madonna being a cunt-ass bitch
- Ridiculously long lines
- Overpriced alcohol
- Too much fast food consumption
- Driving through smelly central Cali
- Shitty cell phone reception at the venue
- Not being able to see all the bands because there's too many good bands playing at the same time slots
Sometimes it sucks having too much fun because you have to force
yourself to snap back to reality and resume to normal civillian life,
i.e. work and other responsibilities. Oh,wait. I probably shouldn't be
complaining since I like my jobs, but I still yearn to go back in time
and preserve those moments for a bit longer...

| Yup, I bagged another part-time job on top of my Live 105 job and my
on-again-off-again gigs with various marketing companies. What this
means for me is that I get to go to clubs for free 3 times a week
taking pictures of people having fun. Depending on how many pics I
take, I can make up to $80 in one hour! The best perk about this job is
being able to use my photographer pass to get into V.I.P. areas, and
being 3 feet away from well-known DJs. Did I mention that I get to
bring a friend or 2 with me when I'm working? So yeah, this is an open
invitation for whoever's reading this to go clubbing with me if you're
in the SF area!
Although it's a hassle to juggle 3 different jobs that offer no
benefits, I'm really glad I didn't cave in and settled for a
conventional 9-5 job. Yes, at times it sucks knowing that some of my
peers are already making up to 50K per year, driving nice cars, moving
out of their parents' homes, etc. but I can't complain. Since I
graduated, I've been to numerous concerts without spending a dime (half
the time I'm getting paid to be there), I've met the Foo Fighters,
Princess Superstar, Avenged Sevenfold, M.I.A., Matisyahu, and Damone,
was invited to Paul McCartney's afterparty, and now I'm getting paid to
go to the hottest nightclubs in SF to take pictures of people. There
are not that many people who can say they love their job(s), so I'm
pretty damn lucky. I only hope things will get even better and
I'll eventually land a full-time job with benefits at Live 105 or some
record label. *crossing my fingers*

| *sigh* In 24 hours it'll be my birthday and I"M SICK!!! I guess I've
overindulged in too much fun in the past 3 weeks and now I'm paying for
it. I guess it also didn't help that I
picked the coldest, stormiest weekend to go snowboarding and got myself
lost in some deep, deep powder. I thought I was recovering from my
pseudo-bird flu on Saturday, but I think the snowboarding kicked my
immune system down a few notches. I woke up the next morning in my
hotel room in Reno feeling like shit and on top of that, I think I
OD 'ed on cold meds.
I'm crossing my fingers that I'll get better by this coming weekend
because 1) my BFF in the whole wide world is coming all the way from
San Diego to see me 2) St. Patrick's Day = drunken good times 3) I'm
having my birthday dinner with my friends from high school, work, SC,
etc. on Saturday. So lets bow our heads and pray that I will be fully
recovered and ready to party this weekend!
FYI: You MUST check out these music artists, if you haven't already:
Wolfmother: Australian rock trio, sounds like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin
Lady Sovereign: 19 year old UK garage artist from London, spits rhymes like Eminem
Bloc Party: post-punk UK band, they are really good live, danceable rock music
All 3 of these artists will be at this year's Coachella Music Festival along with Madonna and 70+ bands!

| I guess I'll break the festive mood and say FUCK THANKSGIVING AND FUCK
THE HOLIDAY SEASON!!!! It only reminds me of pain and sorrow....
